Essential browser storage

TapJoy uses local storage and similar browser mechanisms for settings such as theme and sound preferences, guest-play counters, and temporary game state. These functions are necessary for the experience and are not sold or shared for advertising by TapJoy.

Product analytics

TapJoy uses PostHog US Cloud to measure product events such as page views, game starts, game completions, score saves, challenge activity, sharing actions, and PWA installation. PostHog may use identifiers and technical information to distinguish sessions and understand product usage. TapJoy does not use this analytics system to sell your personal information.

Authentication and database storage

Supabase stores authentication, profile, score, challenge, and push-subscription records for the service. Authentication through X may provide your handle, display name, avatar, account identifier, and email address. Email is retained for account management and permitted marketing communication; it is not displayed on the public leaderboard.

Push notifications

TapJoy does not request notification permission during ordinary browsing. The permission flow is available only after the app is installed and opened in standalone mode. If you grant permission, the browser supplies a push subscription that TapJoy stores for authenticated account notifications. You can revoke permission in your device or browser settings.

Your controls

You can clear browser storage, restrict analytics through browser controls or extensions, revoke notification permission, unsubscribe from marketing emails, and delete your TapJoy account. Some essential functionality may stop working when required storage or authentication is blocked.

We may update this notice when our storage or analytics practices change. The effective date above will identify the current version.
